Designed and implemented policies, procedures and systems to establish and maintain membership in new government managed health care contract resulting in on-time implementation of this portion of the contract. Managed the operations of the contract in twelve locations. Administered two multi-year contracts totaling over $200 million in revenue and providing insurance coverage for approximately six million Medicaid and TRICARE beneficiaries. Directed the processing of 11,000 claims and authorizations per day. Prepared and implemented annual operating budgets exceeding $8 million. Directed the conversion to a new, MMIS certified, automated processing system. Reduced processing time from 35 to 18 days. Reduced overtime by 80%. Reduced levels and numbers of management staff by 11% without layoffs. Maintained per claim payout at or below actuarial estimates.
